Eriksberg

We had a very relaxed day today, starting with a boat trip for a few hours out to the Gothenburg archipelago. Nothing better than sitting on a boat in the sun with a beer. It was interesting to see a different side to Gothenburg, including this gantry crane which stands as a nod to the city’s industrial past, and a reminder of the last shipyard that went bankrupt in 1979.

We spent the afternoon in the hotel’s rooftop pool, before a pizza and a short hop to the airport. I’ve loved my time in Gothenburg, it makes for a great weekend break, but I could stay longer.
