Packed his bag pre-flight

We set off for Birmingham after Orla's swimming lesson for food and drinks pre Elton John gig.

This gent was in the queue with his wife and was certainly in the spirit.

We obtained tickets 3 years ago and today we finally got to see the legend after cancellations due to Covid and health issue of his own.

I saw him about 15 years ago in Gibraltar and he gave as good as he did back then. Highlights for me are always the extended Rocketman, Levon and Your Song. 

Saturday Night's alright for fighting and I'm still standing were crowd pleasers too with pretty much all 15,000 people on there feet.

I love it when he goes into full Honky-Tonk mode on the piano, you get a real sense of the musician in him which is a bit different to the cut short single versions of his tracks..

He is a master performer and phenomenal piano player, he isn't at the forefront of my music listening catalogue but he has such an amazing collection of songs and when they are performed live they are wonderful.
