A GIFT

Not something I’d have bought myself but story behind him makes him special. My Ukrainian friend was due to visit in March 2020 and she bought him as a gift. Obviously with lockdown that visit didn’t happen. Then when the war broke out she literally fled with a small case and he was left in her home..still wrapped up. Having safely found a home in Poland she planned another visit to the UK. She asked several people to help this Domovoy make his journey…so one person went to her home (very close to the frontline) and he was passed to several people and eventually arrived in Poland so she could bring him to the UK. He was still wrapped up from March 2020.

This is the history of these “goblins”

The Domovoy are believed to protect the well-being of kin. They are very protective towards the children and animals of the house. They are believed to share the joys and the sorrows of the family, and to be able to forebode and warn about future events, which threaten the welfare of the kin.
