Sun, sea and beach

We still have to remind ourselves of how lucky we are, living so close to the sea. Today we chose to make the most of that fortune.

Morning was spent in the sun in the garden while the boys were at archery, followed by coffee when they got back outside in the shade. I put the chicken in the oven to roast, and we decided that we'd take a picnic down to the beach later. We put everything in the car,and headed to East Runton where the sea is close to the car park, and i can use the car park permit.

Breezy on the beach we only paddled, but it was good to get that first summers day where we could actually get down on the beach. Hope it is the first of many this summer. We had a lovely roast chicken picnic for dinner, thrown together with some freshly picked lettuce from the garden. Then headed home at just before 7 to face the reality that it is work tomorrow!

Nice shower and Ten Pound Poms. Now bed.

We got home just before 7.
