Rose Chafer

I spotted this beetle at Hurlestone Point . We went to Horner for lunch after an early start and relaxed there for quite a while . Then we did our favourite circular walk at Hurlestone Point . The storms which were threatened never arrived sadly as the garden is desperate. There was low cloud over Porlock and the distant moors were covered by the veil of cloud but it leant an ethereal quality to it all .
