J B Priestley and the National Media Museum

A statue of dramatist J B Priestly, his coat tails flapping in the breeze, stands proudly in his rock garden in front of the National Media Museum in Bradford, formerly the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. Originally supported heavily by Kodak, the seven floor museum offers an exhibition of photographic history in the Kodak Gallery, while the remaining exhibitions, including one dedicated to the history of the internet, concentrate mainly on hands-on interaction and fun activities for the young. There are also three cinemas, including an IMAX, and Bradford hosts two film festivals each year.
While the museum is a fascinating place for anyone interested in photography to visit, next time I go there I'm going to take some ear-plugs with me. Children seem totally unable to enjoy themselves without screaming, but then I suppose it is half-term and I do get overexcited!!!
