Hot

Went down to P’s this morning to do his shopping and cleaning and help him wash his hair ready for the hairdresser coming to cut it tomorrow. He’s had a more disturbed few days but was mentally still upbeat and on good form…so much easier to cope with everything when he’s positive. I made him bacon and eggs for his lunch, followed by strawberries and cream and he loved all of it, and I showed him my Dorset pictures and we chatted about Wimbledon coming up.
Luckily his room is fairly shaded until late afternoon because it was searingly hot outside and quite unpleasant. Back to T&Kt’s and when T got home from doing some gardening he and I walked over to the Forest Centre for a drink and for him to have some lunch under a shade in the garden. We got home and decided to have a BBQ for supper and went to buy the ingredients. Kt back from her scent trials with Heston bedecked with rosettes, and we marinated the meat and all went into the garden for a rest. By now cloud had come over but it was still warm so they dozed whilst I read a book and we had a very relaxed afternoon! We’re wondering if there will be thunderstorms tonight…it’s very close and muggy.
BBQ was tasty, then we went indoors to watch a mountaineering documentary about a search and rescue on Everest and chatted about what type of adventures we’d like or hate. Laid back day….
