Mount Pilatus

Today my school friend and I drove across the border to Switzerland. I had this mountain on my list ever since I saw it from a cross the lake where it sits beautifully towering over the Vierwaldstätter See.
The ascent was pretty steep but I am in my comfort zone in the mountains, it gives me a lot of energy that I often lack elsewhere! This time of year the mountain flowers are all at their best, the colours are beautiful and blooms delicate. I spent a lot of time stopping to take photos of them. The white sprinkles on the meadow on the photo are wild daffodils. When we were above the tree line we saw a group of chamois! At the top the clouds cleared and we had fantastic views. A perfect day!
