He'd be invisible if he would stop puffing out his dewlap. The  brown anole is a fairly recent arrival in the islands (post 1980) - they are busy breeding "like rabbits" disrupting the longer established species and now impossible to eradicate. Although I think that's the history of just about every living thing in Hawaii.
