Gaia
We went into Reading this morning to the Gaia exhibition by Luke German at the Town Hall. It’s basically a 6 metre diameter globe made up of many satellite images of the earth as seen from space. Quite a spectacle but it was a shame that we couldn’t see very much of the northern hemisphere at all as we were viewing it from below. The lasting impression I have is how bloody massive the Pacific Ocean is! At one point of the revolving globe, that was all you could see.
I managed to get a couple of things done in the garden before pottery. The thunderstorm in the late afternoon was very welcome - really cleared the humid air away to give a nice cool evening for a change. And my water butt is now nearly full!
