Evening light

Another warm night. The poor hound was lying stretched out to keep cool.

We were walking at 7am this morning.  Kept the walk short and sweet before the sun had time to warm pavements. 

Was in the market by 9.30 and back home before 11 having been to the market, supermarket and health food store. 

On my cycle into town encountered workmen filling in the sinkhole I reported last week.  The receptionist tried to fob me off to the county council when the Environment Services of the city council are responsible for sorting sinkholes at least on common land.

Stopped at Sainsbury's for ice cream but there were empty freezer cabinets.  Not even frozen vegetables.  Possibly the students have had the lot.  So bought some luxury vegan ice cream from the health food store.  Seriously chocolate for me vanilla for OH.

Made peperonata, Italian pepper salad in the afternoon.  Then managed a refreshing nap to make up for lost sleep last night.

A range of salads for dinner.  Pastel de natas and ice cream to follow.

It's still too warm and close to take the hound out.  He's not bothered just sleeping on his bed nearby.

Springwatch then bed.
