Church Archway

A beautiful sunny day to say goodbye to Janet. It was my friend’s mum’s memorial service funeral today. Lovely hymns and service then tea and cake in the church after. A quiet but respectful affair which was in keeping with her wishes.

Popped to the airfield after to quickly say hi to Steve. Then a few work calls before a quick catch up with another friend whose dad has just passed away. His dad was 80 and a “spare grandad” to me when I learnt to fly. So sad he’s gone. A sad day all round.

I rang my mum this evening and wished I could have hugged her.
