Road trip

I’m getting ready to head to Eigg when the phone goes. The installers need me to clear the ground before their site visit on Monday. I’ll not be back till Monday night, so emergency strimming and hedge trimming removal sounds into action.

Nick and I head into town. We lunch at Vicky’s, bundle everything into Nick’s Galaxy and head to the road. M9, Crianlarich, Glencoe, Fort William. It’s a lovely day and a lovely drive.

We even collect a hitchhiker on the way - a Dutch adventure called Jan. His current challenge is to RUN up every Munro in 4 months. Today he’s heading to Inverness to meet up with some friends and you can follow him at https://expeditionlife.nl/

We check into our B&B then head into town for a bite to eat. The place is mobbed, so we wait on the deck of the Ben Nevis Inn for a table to free up. The venison burger is excellent, the wine is OK.

Despite being beside the road we sleep well.
