Downpour

On Saturday evening we heard thunder in the distance and had a light shower.   Today at around 4.00 the sunlight disappeared and after a few loud rumblings the heavens opened.

In something under ten minutes we had over 10mm of rain, and this is what it looked like inside the conservatory......

Twenty minutes later the sun was shining again and the midges were out in greater profusion than ever, as I found out as I tried to clear the drains in the track to prevent more damage.
