Life in the garden

The Rosa Regosa is looking at its best and humming with insects, bees love it by the sound of their buzzing. And for the first time dog rose flowers have appeared although the shrub will be invading the driveway soon. I need some advice re pruning it.

I am sat outside with birds singing and the pesky midge trying to drive me in. Another hot day, I like this time of the evening when it cools down. John is just home from the tree nursery, a short visit to water the plants. The group have a rota to water twice a day at the moment, I admire their daily commitment. The butterfly was caught in the morning sunshine when the flower looks at its best.
