Escaped

What an amazing hot day!
We went to a new venue for sports day, Campbell Park in Colinton. Its a beautiful park which I had not visited before. As well as sports, which to be honest it was too hot for, the children weeded and watered the strawberries and looked after our newly adopted plum tree.
I had a fabulous ride home from work through Colinton tunnel.
This afternoon I baked ready for the canal festival at the weekend. Ginger and apple loaf cakes, which I hadn't tried before.
I walked with M in the early evening, no running club tonight. We noticed these pavement plants which have seeded themselves so we can enjoy them.
