More Edinburgh

The last time the Minx and I were in Edinburgh, Bob messaged me, suggesting some pubs we might visit. I passed one of these suggestions on to the Minx who replied "That's literally the pub we're in right now." Ho hum.

Anyway, one of Bob's other suggestions was The Canny Man's, which is out at Morningside, but we didn't get that far.

This morning, though, Ash, Bob and I did walk out there, passing through a section of my old stomping grounds, taking in cinemas I loved (Cameo. Filmhouse*, and Dominion), places I drank, such as Bennets, and roads I ran along.

We had lunch and beer at the Canny Man's, which was all very good - it is, apparently, Rick Stein's favourite - before heading back into town.

My Extra is, as you can see, taken from Barony Bar. I never visit there without taking a picture for my old drinking partner Ged, as that was our regular. In fact, I don't think we ever went anywhere else!

*Which, sadly, closed last October.
