From my window

Next week we will be having all our new fencing put up. It replaces the trees and shrubs that were removed to cure the garage subsidence. Once the fencing is finished we will welcome the guys who will be mending the subsidence damage of our garage. This will take some time.

A nice man turned up this morning to check over the work to be done. Jack asked him how far he had come..."From Stevenage, I live and work there and I went to school there." It turned out he went to the school where Jack and I worked, at the same time in the 1980s. Though we didn't recognise him we remembered his name. So we had a fun lengthy conversation about many memories about good teachers and naughty pupils.
