Portrait of a tui

There is a pecking order in this garden. The waxeyes will feed happily, then the bellbird chases them away. You know the tui is on its way to help itself to something to eat when the bellbird suddenly flies away. All the other birds will wait patiently in the meantime! Sparrows do not care, they try their luck whenever!

That I get anything done in and around the house is a wonder! So much bird watching to do!!
