Book Club Camp Portrait 2023

a very lovely slow starting day full of constant talking, a walk in the wetlands at the source of the Hood Canal where we usually walk , ( here’s the same spot on a previous camp  in 2017, ( today we watched marsh wrens making nests…not sure if I got their photo yet….) A few stops at nurseries and a thrift shop,, a little book talk (!). Great dinner.    And I think a hot tub before bed.    Our friend’s wonderful home she and her husband made is now a b and b run by their daughter…. It was very special… our portrait is in her yard on a very cool swing bench made by a local artist.   A bit formal.   But here we are.  So much history of so many events…..and so many new contemporary subjects we are trying to understand :-).
