Basking

Having dropped off my (motor)bike for a service I decided to go to Southchurch Hall Gardens to while away 3 hours in the sunshine. Having previously been surprised at finding a terrapin in the lake at Shoebury Park I was even more astounded to see 11 of them basking in the sun here. Despite getting bitten by mosquitoes (which has meant a restless night for me) I think I’ll go back and try to take some photos of the numerous pigeons.
