Saved a life today

I found this poor little guy flapping about on a hot pavement today, evidently been pushed out of his nest by bigger siblings (as that's what happens unfortunately). However I scooped him up, got him to my boyfriends flat, got him fed (mushy worms and good god he could eat, he was demanding more every 5 minutes), watered and all cosy in a makeshift nest while he waiting on a lovely lady from the sspca to come and pick him up. I believe he is a little blue tit, as he really was tiny and what feathers he had pointed towards that species. Feel good for saving him....the circle of life has been beaten today! :)
