sometimes the best form of attack is defence
I went for an evening stroll with the dog along the high farm track from Strathblane to Dumgoyne and, for only the third time in my life, I spotted a live hedgehog. He was out in the open - without the normal hedge protection - and he was looking a bit sorry for himself. So I carefully gave him a helping hand into some nearby bushes and off he trotted, quite happily.
I heard an article on the radio recently which talked about the massive decline in Britain's hedgehogs and the knock on this is having for wildlife. Hope this wee guy doesn't become a statistic.
