The next village and its neighbour hold an annual regatta race day with a huge number of individual races for all ages, as long as you live in the catchment. The kids’ races are enormously popular and now, three weeks before the big day, kids’ boat training has commenced each evening. The riverside is busy with parents and siblings watching the rowers, it’s always impressive. As you can see the bike parking is a little, ahem, unofficial but it seems to speaks the joy and exuberance of the participants.
