'Mangomel' melon

I've tried to grow melons before but not had much success.

What I'd love to be able to do is grow a melon plant in my compost heap but they always get destroyed by slugs and snails.

So I thought I'd think outside the box this year by filling a large container with wormy compost, topping up with a bit of Melcourt, and keeping it in the greenhouse so it's warm enough.

We'll see what happens.
