Freddie Trueman OBE (1931 - 2006)

In Skipton for the day. Difficult to take a picture of Freddie because of the continuing very bright sun.  Statue of England and Yorkshire's famous cricketer, erected in the Leeds and Liverpool canal basin in Skipton  in 2010,  unveiled by his second wife Veronica with his brother and Dicke Bird in attendance. He was a pipe smoker most of his life and died of lung cancer.
