The Broonie Silkies & Fairies

Is the title of a book by Duncan Williamson of Travellers’ Tales. 

Alan Herriot presented Pat with a first edition published in 1985 together with the original illustration which is today’s Blipfoto entry.

Alan asked me to copy the original and send it to him which has been done. The original dates from 1984.

Duncan Williamson was born (in a tent in 1928). He collected folk tails in the Argyle Area and beyond.

I will be interested to see what Alan uses the illustration for.
Interestingly the book is available through Amazon. The copies are preowned and vary widely in price.

Amazon does represent many small businesses such as booksellers.

After I photographed the illustration I can see the picture frame requires some restoration. Another project on an ever lengthening list.
