First Night

The more I use it, the more I enjoy blipfoto.

When my camera or phone appears to take a photo, people are now saying "oh, there's his blip for the day!" I'm also finding it a good way to allow some time for the adrenaline to wear off before I go to bed this week!

The play opened this evening and after the customary post-mortem it was agreed that it had gone pretty well for an opening night and there were only some minor, easily rectifiable issues (eg. Stopping the cast eating the props, marking curtains up in the pitch black so we know where to exit etc.)

All in all a good night...made slightly more special for me by the fact that the lovely lady pictured with me and her fella, Andrew turned out to watch tonight. Nothing much to that you might say, but I haven't seen her in twelve and a half years and as luck would have it she was holidaying up here this week and had decided to come and see the play.

Poor Andrew was suffering with a cold, so our copious use of fog and dry ice have probably not helped him - sorry!

It means an awful lot having people you know in the audience - I know that it makes me sharper - and when you've not seen those people for a long time, it just means that little bit more.

To bed and then back to it again tomorrow!
