Wound up in Wexford

Early delivery

When we rang yesterday morning to add a long ladder to our order from Tommy Williamson we were assured that "they would ring before delivering".  So when they arrived at the gate unannounced at about 0830, I was still in my dressing gown.  By chance, we had forgotten to put out the bin last night, so W was in tracksuit bottoms and a T shirt.

The delivery chap dropped off a number of 8x4 sheets, and a stack of lengths of wood using his crane.  He then kindly carried the 8x4 sheets round into the workshop and stacked them against the wall.  I say kindly - it was the only way he was going to retrieve the delivery straps!

We subsequently discovered that the ladder was much too heavy for us to manage - hopefully they'll take it back, if T will help us to lift it onto the car next Tuesday.  Meanwhile, the upstairs windows remain unwashed.

I did make a start on the downstairs windows, doing the outside of 4 back windows, and the inside of three of these.

I then carried the domestic goddess mode to extremes, and vacuumed the kitchen and garden room, and mopped the kitchen floor!
