Josie and the Beams

Today's the day ...................... for unintended consequences

We took Josie out for lunch today, to the little village of Penpont not far from Moniaive.

As ever, it was a blisteringly hot day with not a cloud in the sky (see extra).  Even in this part of the country, which is renowned for the amount of annual rainfall that it can expect, things are looking very parched in the fields around.

We had an excellent lunch in the Community Cafe, rounded off with some of their superbly good 'Rocky Road' - and then we went to the local playpark for a bit of recreation.  It's a lovely little swingpark but there was one big problem - most of the equipment, specially the metal shutes and roundabouts, was SO hot that it would have burnt any child attempting to play on it.

So here's Josie, doing her best to negotiate the cooler, wooden beams and spider web ropes ..........!
