Mom and I fishing...
A while ago my cousin lived on a lake and he would have the family over several times a year to go swimming, fishing and to just have a good time. I I took my mom out on a rowboat to go fishing. It was her that caught this fish.
Update - Although the nurse said she doesn't need critical care anymore, she was still in that section of the hospital while the doctors decide what to do. She still has a neck brace on as they are afraid of additional damage without it. She is still in a lot of pain. Some good news - there is a doctor (one of a handful in the country) that does the type of surgery on the neck that my mom needs. It should relieve some pain, help he with her balance, and.. Not sure when it will be done though.. She was able to lift her other leg a bit today and has feeling in her hands - despite not being able to move them still. My mom also recognized me when I walked in today. Although her voice is in a whisper - she said hi, asked for some more pain meds, how I was doing and.. A short conversation before she went back to sleep.. So important for her to rest so the body can heal..
When I got home Tiger was full of energy... bouncing off of everything, getting into everything, and... a good way to end the day before bedtime..
I want to thank each and everyone of you for you thoughtful kind comments yesterday. It is the little things that matter the most..
