Slatted Ewan...

I've been having wee experiments with the basic daylight exposure settings that StevieFish blipped a few days ago.

I figured, this sort of thing is where it would come into it's own.

I didn't try it but I imagine the camera's metering would have tended towards a slower shutter or wider aperture due to the amount of dark areas in the scene.

I really wanted Bethany in the picture as well but she just was not as amenable to the situation as Ewan here.
