Communal bathing

Before I was able to clean and refill the birdbath this morning it was already much in demand. A group of young starlings, five at one point before I got hold of the camera, and two chaffinches were all having a bath together, how lovely!

Ceramics class this morning followed by a nice restaurant lunch with an old friend then back home to watch the weather change. At 4.30 pm the thunder started and at 5.30 pm the first drops of rain started. As I write, there is loud thunder, lightning and torrential rain, yippee, it’s about time!
