Crafts for Poor People (apologies to Amy Sedaris)

My beautiful teapot is still providing great service, but its style quotient has been slightly reduced by having a folded tea towel on top, acting as a makeshift tea cosy.

So when I sewed together two Ikea pot-holders, at specific points, with carefully placed buttons to add even more style, and popped it triumphantly on the teapot, I was very pleased with myself.

R rolled her eyes. I told her this might be the start of my new padded elf hat millinery business. She rolled her eyes again.

I still like it.
