In amongst the nettles...

...and brambles as thick as you can imagine.

We've (read me) been monitoring some badger sett entrances for over a month now and today we could close off three of the four. To get there we needed to cut a path, a path that wasn't there previously and that I've battled through every week. The nettles were head high and don't even ask about the brambles.

It was warm work.

Oh, and the why? The bridge needs demolishing and the sett is under the third span. The bridge has failed and is rotating laterally.
