AML - Friday in Brussels

Our friend M came to meet up with us at the restaurant on the 5th floor of the AML for lunch today. It was fantastic to see him! The restaurant was also quite impressive, especially for something in a library. M said the area where we ate used to be a mediocre cafeteria. 

J is the photographer here and basically that was his job ALL DAY. He took photos of documents in the archives for me *non-stop* from 10-1 and then after lunch until closing. What a hero! I'm afraid there were still around 200 items we didn't get to see or photograph, but I've got a pretty solid idea of the fonds now, and lots of transcription work for future student researchers haha. The library is closed tomorrow, so we'll have a little more time to explore Brussels before we catch our train back.
