Milkweed patch

A future monarch salad bar and nursery. This is a small portion of one of our milkweed patches around the place. I'm glad to see them growing so well. I'll be keeping my eye out for the butterflies now.

If I had taken my phone with me into the restaurant I would have taken a picture of the margarita toast with two of my dear co-workers.  It was a morning of packing up the room and then all heading to the high school for some staff recognition and a final word from the superintendent. She said the one thing she knew for sure was that she was the thing standing between us and summer break so she made it short and sweet.
I wish I had a little bit of a respite but my mom and her friend are coming next Friday and I have a lot to do to get ready for that. It will be wonderful to see her, of course, but all I really want to do is sit and vegetate for a bit.
