racoon wins round 4

couldn't understand why the trap door was open. Then I looked more closely....the door had sprung shut and the racoon broke the hinge weld and escaped.

Thought that was a tough trap. Not so and replaced it with a monster. Update tomorrow.

As a side note, 4pm cst marked 7 years here . Crossing the border in Montana it was snowing, 110F here (43C) when I arrived.

Bought a huge live trap, had a group discussion in Tractor Supply about trapping racoons (and one person who's mother cooked them for Sunday lunch) and another knowlegable with a guy about the benefits of a chev Silverado with 350k miles on it vs mine (370) and Greta the turbo diesel (280k) - have to admit, the low rev, V8 engines are bulletproof.

Who would have thought?
