Potatoes and beans

Part of the potato crop coming along. Bug picking has paid off although I’ve caught some early stage grubs. We’ve had our first meals of early red spuds.

Extra is bean patch which I hoed today. A mix of haricot, borlotti and cannellini beans. In some places patchy germination. Amazing amount of weeds also germinating - one year’s seed, seven years weed and all that.
