Chris Hadfield

This evening I saw former astronaut Chris Hadfield at the Armadillo, as part of his On Earth and Space: Chris Hadfield’s Guide to the Cosmos series of talks. Very interesting and inspiring.

Here’s some background on his achievements if you’re unfamiliar with him –
·        Top Test Pilot in the US Air Force and the US Navy
·        Astronaut – flew 3 space missions
·        Voice of Mission Control for 25 Space Shuttle missions
·        Director of Operations for NASA in Star City, Russia
·        First Canadian to walk in space
·        Commander of the International Space Station
… and of course Space Oddity.
