Bread Basket

Today is another work day... so no fun and interesting things to photograph. I've been wanting to photograph a few things along the drive, but never stop - always in a hurry. In any case, I took the 2 minute detour to drive in front of the Castelbarco Villa in hopes of having a good view of the mountains beyond the fields. Instead only fields of wheat ripening on the stalk... heads still high in the breeze.

I wonder what this would have looked like with Leica glass... maybe a 28 Summarit? :) Anyway, not bad for a NEX with the cheap kit lense and standard JPEG compression. Just a bit of contrast and structure added in the B&W conversion, nothing else.

The mountains are so full of snow and with the gray skies today, it looks like it usually does in February - not the end of May!!
