I LOVE WORK...

I could stand and watch it all day long! Why is it whenever there's a hole to be dug you find one guy working, in this case operating the digger, while his mate stands around watching? What is it he's expecting to see in the hole - gold nuggets? diamonds? It's not just this hole, it's any hole, anywhere... one man digging, others staring idly into the hole - usually while leaning on something. Anyone else noticed this national pastime?
