Another end of an era
Not only has school finished for Leo but the lads have now finished their journey with Cully Rangers Youth. It was presentation night (my, was it hot in the clubhouse!) and all the lads got a Managers’ Award trophy to mark all the effort they had put in over the years. Some of them have been in the team together for a decade of training and playing games.
Leo also got the news that he had been selected as League Player of the season so we need to head out for another trophy ceremony in Exeter on Sunday evening when the Exeter Youth League gives out its player awards.
We had some decent rain in the early hours so it was pleasantly coolish when I headed out around 7am to get some early steps in. But that didn’t last and by 9am when Ian did Parkrun it felt all hot again. That didn’t stop him though as he was on a mission to come in under 30 minutes. He managed to get around in a new PB of 28:18 minutes so was a happy chappy all day after that.
