St Andrew's Suspension Bridge

Everyone seems to be taking pictures of the new Tradeston Bridge aka the Squiggly Bridge. It also been in the news a lot because of the new craze of doing 'the squiggly' - running or climbing over the humps of the bridge which is extremely dangerous.

However I was a bit further up the river today and photographed this slightly older bridge - from 1854! It is made of wrought iron and has a 67 metre span. It was refurbished about 10 years ago partly funded by European funds so I suppose it justifies me voting in the Euro elections after all.

Just rushing to finish this so I can watch the final of the Apprentice.
