The first thing you see….

……..as you go for through a gateway and into the walled French city of Arles is this ‘painting’.

Apparently it was commissioned but it was too big so the end of the street corner building was cut off , tidied up and painting fixed to the reconstituted edifice…. Or something like that.

I may have been a little confused and maybe incorrect having got up at 3.00 this morning to catch a taxi, to catch a bus, to catch a plane, to catch another bus to catch on a boat for a holiday on the Rhône in Southern France .

I’m a lucky guy!!
