Definitely endive

I've been so busy watering that I only just noticed how well the endive has come on - shall have to pick some and try eating it as I can't remember whether I like it! I recall several Belgian friends having recipes for it.....think you can use it in salads (though it's maybe a touch bitter) but also cook it. Ah, it's coming back to me - sauce with a spot of cream in it, and definitely nutmeg!
