Sigur Rós

A morning of teaching. Fish and chips for lunch as always on Friday. Cool train down to London. Tube to Leicester Square and started in Soho at an Asteroid City pop-up which is themed to promote the new Wes Anderson film. Wandered through the city and down to the Southbank where I met a friend for a drink, then into the Royal Festival Hall for a concert which was part of the annual Meltdown Festival - this time curated by Christine and the Queens. Sigur Rós were playing with the London Contemporary Orchestra. Their first album for 10 years came out today. It was an astonishing, lush evening with 2 hours of tunes from across their catalogue. Got last train back to Ely and drove home, though the A10 was closed - less than ideal so a bit of a detour. Edited with Prisma.
