Inspired by a vintage school sign.

It’s a long time since official school road signs looked like this. Ings village school closed fifty years ago so I’m not sure why this one has been left in place. The school building, just round the corner, is now a thriving community centre. I enjoyed afternoon tea there after attending a concert featuring three talented young musicians in the church across the road.

A very pleasant way to spend a summer’s afternoon.
