Meldon and Black Tor.

Another Dartmoor adventure.
We parked at Meldon reservoir car park with rucksacks weighed down with picnic food.
Dusty paths and boulder strewn areas were navigated before we nestled down beside a stream (picture 2), here we enjoyed the contents of our rucksacks whilst being entertained by lots of small wild brown trout leaping into the air for their lunch.
A clamber to the top of Black Tor (pictures 3&4) gave stunning views before descending back down amongst skylarks, meadow pipits and wheatears.
A joyous day before a damp drive home.
More in extras.
