Approaching Storm

We had a spectacular thunderstorm last night, around 1am time and I'm afraid I didn't fancy getting out of my bed to try and get a shot of the amazing fork lightning that was taking place.

Luckily, we had another huge one this afternoon so I set my camera up in full anticipation of trying to get what would have been the coolest photo I'd ever taken... and we had bucketing rain and nothing but distant thunder.

Boo.

I got this shot which gives a good idea of how it was looking before the heavens opened. The air is much, much cooler now though at least!
